Void
Tonight the night is hung with stars’ eyeswatching our tindril glow,we are alight in universe’s dust, whispers mar the haunted lawnfaces that you know have blank looks;there hides a wide space where my heart used to bea profound void, where life has leakedlike rainbow’d oil slicking an old junk heap. There’s a space where my heart used to bea disused highway with a desert breezewhere mirages come and go,drawn by the flicker of stars’ eyes,by latent heat drifting.
