Skeleton shore ( Barbados)
You are soothing, soft hearted, unbroken wind chime symphonyof dark skin, gun metal skin.So near you are breathing me in:the swell of this skeleton shoreglass bottomed boat, rum punch highon the polo field……..where the whites drink champagneslide pitch perfect with the sugarof black pride. You are soft sealed symphonyof life, of love……black clouds hiderain, rain in my heart soothedby the drumming of the tide.So many seas under the thunderof yesterday: single sail, long legs restoblique in the sandbutterflies in my mind, the bonesof dead reef drifting; you seep under the skinof my dreams……to comfort me.
