Paper stars

Last night was full of paper starsbig old moon & scudding clouds& from the corner of the barbeyond the blur  of shifting glassI heard the crash of breaking heart. Your golden love is hard to shakeI lived those days we walked the beachhand in hand we surfed the  sea, sailed away in  dreamless sleepenfolded in your bear like reach but fate & life have run us througha severed link a silent tombof all we had to give & livethose summer days when laughterreigned:   now  far away. Tonight is full of paper starsI crumple them in wordless hands& I can’t sleep in broken armsyour voice reverbs in inner eartelling me you’re lost to me so lost to me.
