Fragments

Fragmentsfall frombroken shardsof livesyou’ve scuttledin and out of. Underlying peacestruggles to subsistwith the screamof “I” leaping fromyour chest  tobite you. We sit:shadows ofyour fearsquirm acrossthe floortie my ankles tight:you bind me. Angels don’tcome twice, the message thatyou seekfloats withinthis space,of lifetimes. Fragments inyour smile;years of swiftescape cut yourtired faceonce beautifulto me; and I’m abutterfly by nightwings singed withyour desiremelting into sugarspun light,to leave you.
