Leaves

Leaves are falling on this yearlast goodbyes, new born’s sigh;a hint of love & multitudesof restless nights & asking whyhas brought me here. Time’s slowing down, I’m breathing in& all the memories we sharedhave morphed to litanies of dreamswhere hand in hand we walk the shadow worldyou left me for. What can I say? I wake thesedull faced mornings, iron skies go flying by& seagull’s piercing cry remind me I’m aliveit seems the joy has flown with summer sunyes leaves are dropping one by one & winter’s near.
