Dissolve

Sun glazes trees

golden, another day

in paradise.

You rise from dream

were we ever that young?

That shining?

You & I

misunderstood

we slip beneath

the sheets of sleep

a lifetime of knowing

a fleeting love.

Your blonde symmetry

saved my life once

or twice:

a country kitchen

the courage to leave.

Your photos splice

the darkness

light up a world

less travelled

I started in your lens

subtle, seductive

twined in yellow.

Now this autumn

pulses its gold

the gold of your hair;

texture between

my fingers ,

dream dissolving.
